Dorothy Schuele

Dorothy Schuele

Dorothy Schuele has been a friend of the Santa Barbara Rescue Mission for many years. She serves on our board and is committed to the work of caring for the homeless and bringing change and hope to the men and women in recovery. Years before her husband, Carl, learned that he had cancer, he and Dorothy began their estate planning with the help of John Watts. When Carl passed away, the Santa Barbara Rescue Mission received a donation from the estate for the then women's and children's section of the Mission. "It was a blessing to see how we were able to help the residents there at that time," Dorothy shares. If you would like to learn more about the work of the Mission and how your investment will be put to use to bring hope and change to men and women in great need, visit the Mission for our monthly "60 Minutes at the Mission" program.

Dorothy says, "You will be inspired by the courage and strength of those who have chosen to do the work to change their lives and the commitment of the staff to bring that about." If you would like to learn more about planned giving, contact Rebecca Weber at 805-966-1316 ext. 105 or email [email protected].
